NRA Range Safety Officer Course Overview:
***PLEASE READ ALL THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE ATTENDING***
This is the NRA Range Safety Officer Course. This is a HANDS-ON course that takes roughly 9 hours (one day) to complete.
This course is available to only law-abiding adult citizens of the United States of America. This is an Adults Only course and you must be at least 21 years of age to attend. A valid form of picture identification or a valid passport is required.
The NRA Range Safety Officer Course is designed to teach you the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and effectively supervising various types of shooting activities and range operations safely. This applies to both indoor and outdoor shooting ranges.

This course will cover the following topics:
- Your role as an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer
- Range Standard Operating Procedures
- How to inspect a Range
- Range Rules
- Administering the Range Safety Briefing
- Emergency Procedures
- How to diagnose and treat Firearm Stoppages and Malfunctions

There is a minimum (non-refundable) deposit of $95.00 due at time of registration that will be applied to the total $195.00 cost of your course. If you have paid the deposit and are unable to attend the course, your deposit will be applied to your next course registration. The remaining balance must be paid prior to attending the course. The deposit allows us to order your course materials and completion certificate from the NRA.
There is also an additional Range Safety Officer Registration / Processing fee through the NRA that must be paid directly to the NRA after successful completion of the course.
Your NRA-certified Instructor will provide firearms for demonstration. Light refreshments will also be available at no cost to you. Students are NOT allowed to bring firearms to this class.
Courses are limited to 4 students so that we may give you the amount of individual attention necessary to meet the learning objectives. Remember, the purpose of this course if to give you the tools to safely and effectively conduct shooting activities with live ammunition. It is imperative that you meet ALL the learning objectives and effectively demonstrate the skills, knowledge and attitude before achieving your completion certificate.
