Firearms in the news….

Welcome back buckaroos!!!  As per usual…. firearms are in the headlines!!  Being able to keep you guys updated with firearms news is one of our main priorities and today we have a couple of updates that are quite interesting!

Las Vegas, NVOur hearts go out to you Vegas…. First and foremost we want to send our condolences and prayers to all of the victims and families that were affected by the tragedy in Las Vegas.  Cowards that choose to use firearms do harm to innocent civilians do nothing but contribute to the proliferation of the negative stigma that firearm ownership currently carries.  As responsible armed citizens it is our duty to try at all ends to eradicate such tragedies and thus the negative connotation that firearms ownership has.

IllinoisHunting Works is now working in Illinois…..The Hunting Works For America footprint has grown yet again.  Most recently, through planned expansion, the program now includes a statewide chapter in Illinois. The nationwide Hunting Works initiative was basically created to promote economic partnerships that are forged between the hunting and shooting communities and local economies.  The program advocates for public policy that supports jobs and economic prosperity.  The newly created chapter joins the already existing programs from 16 other states.  The growth of this program has been impressive, now having at least one chapter in every region of the continental United States.

WisconsinFirearms heritage grows in America’s Dairyland…..Recently, The Wisconsin Senate Committee on Sporting Heritage, Mining and Forestry approved Senate Bill 362.  This was a huge win for responsible armed citizens!!  After you get through all of the legal jargon, Senate Bill 362 improves the state’s hunting mentor program by lifting the 10-year-old minimum age requirement.  This allows responsible armed citizens to reach younger shooters.  The bill also now makes it legal for more than one gun or bow to be used between mentor and apprentice.  Good to see responsible armed adults teaching responsible young people!!

***  If you are unfamiliar with firearms and/or their accessories, and want to learn more, PSA strongly suggests that you find, enroll, and attend a comprehensive and reputable firearms safety course. Firearms safety is all of OUR responsibility.

We want to thank you for taking out the time to stop by our lane at the shooting range!!  We hope that you enjoyed your stay and hope that you stop back by early and often to catch up on all PSA updates!  We truly hope that we were able to hit the target, and if you ever have any questions please don’t hesitate to shoot them our way!!  We look forward to shooting the breeze with you soon again!!

And as always….remember to watch your six and stay low!!!
