Tactical ARm Braces…

Very few things that come along have the ability to shake the absolute fabric of our lives. The introduction of sliced bread…the discovery of fire….the introduction of the wheel….and now…..the advent of tactical AR arm braces!!!    Due to the fact that these tactical braces make short guns even sweeter, today’s post will be short and sweet!!

One fateful day, USMC and Army vet Alex Bosco was shooting with a disabled combat veteran when the range master asked Bosco’s friend to stop firing for safety concerns due to lack of control.  Bosco’s shooting buddy, had some unfortunate physical disabilities (sustained in service of his country) that prevented him from firing an AR Pistol securely.  Bosco….driven to frustration immediately had an idea!  He went to the quintessential drawing board, and a short while after produced the first Pistol Stabilizing Brace prototype in his garage. After securing the ATF’s green-light, production began in 2012.  Bosco co-founded SB Tactical in 2012 and began making production prototypes for AR and AK platforms. Word began to spread about this new invention and it was off to the races!!!  In January 2013, exclusive sales agreements were executed with SIG SAUER, Inc. and Century Arms International for the AR (SB15) and AK (SB47) braces, respectively.  These companies were lucky enough to get in on the ground level, and many of their products now boast one iteration of the SB braces.

PSA is fortunate enough to have a couple of pistols equipped with one of the SB Tactical braces (the other one was out to lunch at photo shoot time!!!).  Below you can see one of the earliest versions of the brace.  Notice, that although the gun has a 10″ barrel, the addition of the brace allows it to be classified as a pistol!!!  Please guys….no alterations to this brace (or you may be liable for litigation!!!).
