As our beloved readers undoubtedly know, PSA strongly supports responsible firearm ownership…more especially, training with firearms. But….what we don’t want you guys to forget is that the world of firearms is full of FUN!! There are many ways to make your training and practice sessions fun! Many times when we go to the range, we leave a portion of our range time for “fun shooting!” Most simply put, this time is dedicated to simply putting lead downrange! We are not concentrating on shot placement, groupings, or timing. These times with PSA at the range is all about shooting for fun!
As seen by the picture above, shooting fun can be had simply by the target you choose to shoot! This day at the range we decided to take all 6 20-rounders and let them loose at this zombie bad guy!! The Sig P516 gave this bad guy all he wanted and more!! He had no idea what was coming his way! Unfortunately, he had eaten his victim prior to us getting there!!
The range session in the picture above, was all about pistol handling. We called this session: 3 Sig’s and a baby….(baby XD that is!!) As you can see, we had fun sending lead down range, and we had a variety of rounds to share with the backstop!!! From .22LR to .45ACP to .357 SIG….we had a blast that day (pun intended!!!).
One of the greatest joy’s as avid shooters is being able to participate in one of the myriad of shooting competitions being held locally. Sports shooting matches are some of the best opportunities for shooters to get out and experience all that the world of recreational shooting has to offer! Many firing ranges now host competitions (weekly or monthly) that allow a wide range of shooting skill levels to be displayed. From amateur matches to professional matches, shooters can now get more and more involved in our wonderful world of guns!!! Training has never been so much fun!!!
