Welcome back buckaroos!!! It’s no secret that we love our firearms here at PSA! What’s more, we like to show our guns how much we love them by the quality of the accessories that we buy to dress our favorite toys up with!! The world of firearms and accouterments that may accompany them grows by the day. Shooters now have a wide variety of accessories for their favorite toys that vary just as much in price. When it comes to guns and their accessories, remember what my dear old granny used to tell me: You get what you pay for!
Having extensive knowledge of firearms definitely has it’s perks!!! For people who love to talk (like every one of us here at PSA!!), guns and gun accessories are our most favorite things to talk about (all the time!!!)! Quite often when we are unpacking at the range for a day of shooting, we get questions from other shooters (expert and novice alike), regarding the accessories that we choose for our guns. The first thing we ever say to any of these wacky shooters is what dear old granny used to tell us: You get what you pay for…
One of our biggest pet peeves is to walk up to the shooting lane, peep over at our shooting neighbor, and see a $1000 pistol sitting in a $15 dollar holster! C’mon buddy!! I’m sure that you could’ve done better! These guys will most often quote you something like this: “yeah, I bought this puppy to protect my family.” Well sir…take this short story, load it, and shoot it. Imagine you and your wife are walking down a busy street after the premier of the next installment of your favorite movie series. You’re approached by a bad guy and his buddy. The bad guy buddy happens to notice a slight bulge from your back and simply grabs your pistol from the Uncle Mike’s IWB holster you currently have your P226 tucked in. Your protection piece has just become the tool of aggression against you. Maybe you should’ve looked at the pressure switch holster that sat right next to the collapsible holster you bought.
Paying close attention to the accessories that you purchase for your EDC, for your home protection firearm, or even your plinking buddy may very well be the deciding factor between life and death. Ensure your safety as well as those around you….be decisive with your firearms accessories!!
