The wonderful thing about having this sort of avenue to talk to you guys is being able to share with you our personal opinions and viewpoints on a myriad of topics. This time we have a doozie for you guys! Not often do we get to talk about these types of things so we are stoked to bring you guys this short, fun post!!
A couple of days ago, a good friend of PSA sent us a picture of a customized Glock 42, painted in “Tiffany” blue. She exclaimed to us that this had to be the most fantabulous addition to her already blossoming firearm collection. Boy-oh-boy was this a pretty piece of hardware (if you’re into that sort of thing!!!). The slide was the standard chrome alloy, and the frame of the pistol was customized in a nice “Tiffany” blue. To make it better (or worse depending on the side of the fence you currently stand!!!), the bottom plate of the magazine was also customized in this brilliant blue. She was definitely enamored with this pistol, and was ecstatic that she could purchase it from a custom shop for only about $500-$600 more than the retail price (yes $500-$600 more!!!). The customized pistol game has been around since the beginning of firearms and is steadily gaining momentum with newer paints, materials, and ideas.
If having a customized firearm tends to be your bag, then the firearms industry abounds with options for you. From customized AR-15’s, to custom 1911’s, to custom .22LR pistols, you can most definitely find what ignites your powder (pun intended!!)!! ***One point of warning: If you are indeed interested in getting a customized firearm of your own, please be prepared to reach deeeeeeeply into your pockets, as these custom jobs can be quite cost prohibitive!!!!***
Instead of making you read all about these wacky custom jobs, we decided to give you a brief rundown of some of the zaniest firearms we’ve run across. This brief look at customized firearms will range from some of the antiques to the newer models. And yes ladies…we will also show you the “Tiffany” blue Glock 42!!!!
PSA strongly supports safe, responsible, educated firearm ownership. If you are not familiar with the utility of firearms or not even familiar with your own personal firearm, PSA robustly suggests that you enroll in a certified and reputable firearms safety course.
We would like to thank you for taking out the time to stop by our lane at the range. We hope that we were able to hit the target. We hope that you will stay tuned to PSA for updates and new posts. If you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to shoot them our way!!!
And as always……remember to watch your six and stay low.
